Student sponsors of the ice cream cone bill, aka “the ice cream cone kids” will be on hand at a number of ice cream related community events in the St. Louis area during July and August.

August 28th, 2008 Student sponsors of the ice cream cone bill will be appearing at the Coffee Cartel in the Central West End. Coffee Cartel will be hosting a community wide event to celebrate the ice cream cone's first day as Missouri's official state dessert.  Students will be sharing anecdotes about their bill’s legislative Rocky Road to passage and handing out free ice cream cones starting at 11:00 am to 6 pm. July 16th , 2008 Student sponsors of the ice cream cone bill will be appearing at Briarcrest Estates Senior Talk from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Students will be hosting a free ice cream social. For more information call 636-391-5300.


 
 
 
Students were on hand to help the Missouri History Museum celebrate National Ice Cream Day (a Day Early) with guest appearance from Norton the Penguin and Representative  Storch. 
 
 
July 19th, 2008 Student sponsors of the ice cream cone bill will be appearing at the Missouri History Museum's National Ice Cream Day (A Day Early) Event from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.  The Missouri History Museum will be celebrating the annual National Ice Cream Day -  a day early.  The students will be sharing anecdotes about their bill’s legislative Rocky Road to passage and will be hosting free, hourly drawings for gift cards redeemable at a local ice cream parlor. Serendipity will be celebrating their annual National Ice Cream Day event.  Students will be sharing anecdotes about their bill’s legislative Rocky Road to passage and will be assisting with free children‘s activities, including pin the cherry on the sundae.
