The Tourism Industry could as well, benefit from this legislation.

 

Should the bill pass, it is our hope to establish a commemorative historical marker or monument in Forest Park, which would be a potential tourist attraction.

 

We would also like to create an official state dessert emblem or signage for ice cream shops and retailers to display.  Tourist will want to enjoy an original Missouri ice cream cone.  The Missouri Department of Tourism recommends these fine ice cream shops accross the state.  Recommedations 

 

Finally, it is our hope to initiate an annual ice cream festival in Forest Park.   The festival would include ice cream vendors from across the state, cow milking demonstrations, ice cream churning activities, ice cream cone eating contests, annual flavor contests, and annual poster contests.

 

Revenue from these tourism activities could help bring in out of state receipts,  increased consumer spending, which leads to increased tax revenue.
